My First Visit

After welcoming you to our office you will be asked to fill out our required forms which will provide us with some information about you and your condition.

Consultation

Dr. Coonrad will ask  specific questions regarding you and your condition.  If Dr. Coonrad feels that he can help you, he will let you know that and continue with a thorough examination. If Dr. Coonrad feels he cannot help you, he will refer you to an appropriate physician who will be able to help you.

Examination

After a thorough consultation with the doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This will include testing your muscles, your ability to turn and bend as well as other specialized orthopedic, neurologic, postural, and physical examinations as indicated by your complaints. We also utilize state of the art computerized  thermal  and surface electro-myography scans.  These scans provide vast insights into the spinal alignment and frequently enable us to avoid taking x-rays.   If necessary however, the doctor may refer you for x-rays or additional testing procedures.

Report of Findings

Once all the above information has been gathered and examinations have been performed, Dr. Coonrad will give you a report of findings so you will understand exactly what is causing your condition.  This usually occurs on your second visit to the office.  Dr. Coonrad usually will treat you a few times so he can determine how you respond (fast or slow)before making specific recommendations for the correction of your problem.

Treatment

Dr. Coonrad will begin treatment only after he has seen important indicators that you will respond to his care.  Most of our patients begin to see results from the very first adjustment although some cases respond more slowly. Our specialized, gentle and effective alignment of the body is interactive with each patient, gentle enough for kids (they love us), yet effective enough to quickly reduce pain and restore function and movement to athletes, adults and seniors.
